Invite users to your team

Invite teammates, investors and advisors to your Swarm team, choose their role and manage pending invitations.

Written by Bee Keeper

Owners and Admins can invite teammates, investors, advisors and partners to join your team as users. Users can sign in, search the team's network and add their own connections.

Invite someone

  1. Go to Settings → Users and select Add User.

  2. Enter one or more email addresses, one per line.

  3. Choose a role for each person: Admin, Contributor or Guest. See User roles and permissions.

  4. Optional: select Preview to add a personal note of up to 500 characters to the invitation email.

  5. Send the invitation.

The person gets an email, and a reminder 3 days later if they haven't joined. They join by accepting it; see How do I join my company's existing team?

Pending invitations

  • A pending invitation counts toward your connector limit until it's accepted or revoked.

  • To send a reminder or revoke an invitation, open Settings → Users and use the menu next to the person.

  • Revoking an invitation frees the connector slot straight away.

Who to invite

Start with founders and team leads, whose networks are usually the most relevant. Then add investors and advisors, and later trusted partners or customers who are open to making introductions.

Someone who doesn't need to sign in can be added as a connector instead. Their relationships are mapped without an account, and they're never notified. See Add connectors.

What invited users can share

Once they join, users can sync their LinkedIn connections and connect Google Contacts & Calendar. Their connections are shared only with your team. See How The Swarm protects your data.
