If your colleagues already use The Swarm, join their team instead of starting a new one. How you get in depends on whether you were invited.
You were invited
When you sign up with the email address that was invited, you see Join your team with the team name and who invited you. Select Accept Invitation.
Already signed in and don't see the invite? Select the arrow next to your name in the bottom-left corner and open Pending Invitations.
If you see "Team connectors limit reached", the team has no free seats. Ask an Owner or Admin of that team to free one up or upgrade the plan.
Your team lets people join automatically
If an Admin turned on auto-join for your email domain, you join as soon as you sign up with your work email. Auto-join doesn't work with personal addresses such as gmail.com or yahoo.com.
Your company already has a team, but you weren't invited
If exactly one team uses your company's LinkedIn page, you see "Your colleagues are already here":
Request Access emails the team's Admins. We email you when one of them lets you in.
Create A Separate Team sets up your own team instead.
If your company has more than one team, ask someone on the team you want to join to invite you.
Common problems
"Team name already in use". A team with that name already exists. Ask its Owner or Admin to invite your email address, or choose a different name to create your own team.
I signed up before the invite arrived. Contact support@theswarm.com with the email you used and the team you want to join, and we'll move you over.
The invite went to the wrong email. Ask the Owner or Admin to revoke it in Settings → Users and invite the right address.
For Owners and Admins
Invite someone in Settings → Users → Invite user. Nobody gets access to your team until they're invited or an Admin approves their request.
