Add connectors

How Owners and Admins add connectors by person, company, LinkedIn URLs or invite link, and assign them to groups.

Written by Bee Keeper

Owners and Admins add connectors from the Connectors page. Contributors can view the Connectors page but can't add or remove connectors, and Guests can't see it.

Add connectors

  1. Go to Connectors and select Add Connectors.

  2. Choose how to find them:

    • Person: search our database by name, job title or LinkedIn URL.

    • Company: pick a company to see everyone we have there. Everyone is selected by default; deselect anyone you don't want. For companies with more than 50 employees, importing LinkedIn URLs works better.

    • LinkedIn URLs: paste up to 100 LinkedIn profile URLs at a time. We flag any URL in the wrong format before you add them.

    • Invite via link: share one link that anyone can use to join as a connector and share their network. See Share your network with an invite link.

  3. Pick a group: Employees, Investors, Customers, Portfolio, Advisors or Others.

  4. Optional: request their LinkedIn connections. We email them a private link to the Connector Portal. Select Skip for now to add them without a request; you can send it later from the Connectors page.

The Swarm then maps their work and education overlaps and shared investors. Their relationships show up in People; use the Connected to filter to see them.

If you can't find someone

If a person isn't in our database, you can't add them by search. Share your invite link with them instead: they paste their own LinkedIn profile URL when they join.

If you're at your connector limit

New connectors are still added, but as pending connectors. They stay locked until you upgrade or remove connectors. See What are pending connectors?
