User roles and permissions

What Owners, Admins, Contributors and Guests can do in The Swarm, including connectors, the API page and MCP.

Written by Bee Keeper

Every user in your team has one of four roles: Owner, Admin, Contributor or Guest. Owners and Admins can change a user's role at any time in Settings → Users.

Every user also counts as one connector toward your plan's limit, whatever their role.

Where Owners and Admins manage people

  • Users: Settings → Users. Invite users, change roles, revoke pending invitations and remove users.

  • Connectors: the Connectors page. Add, group and remove connectors.

Connectors don't have roles

Connectors are people whose relationships are mapped for your team. They can't sign in, so they have no role. To give a connector access, invite them as a user. See Invite users to your team.
