Every new team starts with a 14-day free trial, with no credit card needed. After that you pick a plan: Free, one of the Premium plans, or Enterprise. Plans differ by how many connectors you can have and how many API credits are included each month.

The trial doesn't turn into a paid plan on its own. If you haven't picked a plan after 14 days, your team moves to the Expired state. Your data is kept and you can reactivate at any time.

What counts as a connector
Users: everyone with login access to your team
Connectors: LinkedIn profiles added manually, through the invite link or by the AI Network Mapper
Pending invitations: invited users, until the invitation is accepted or revoked
You'll see a warning at 80% of your connector limit. At 100%, new connectors are still added, but as pending connectors: locked until an Owner or Admin upgrades or removes connectors. See What are pending connectors?
API credits
API credits are used when The Swarm fetches profile or company data from outside sources for you, through the API or MCP. Browsing and searching in the web app at app.theswarm.com is always free.

Each result counts separately: fetching 10 profiles in one request uses 10 credits.
Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and don't roll over. On a yearly plan you get 12 months of credits upfront and can use them at any pace.
If you use more than your plan includes, the extra credits are billed at your plan's overage rate at the end of the billing period. API use is never blocked mid-cycle.
Example: a Premium 50 team ($99/month) that uses 1,500 credits in a month pays $99 + 500 × $0.10 = $149 that month.

Upgrading and downgrading
Upgrading takes effect straight away. You're charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current period. Overages are still calculated and billed at the end of the cycle as usual.
Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep full access to your current plan until then, and no partial refunds are issued. If your connector count is above the new plan's limit, new connectors are added as pending until you remove connectors on the Connectors page.
Switching to Free works the same way, with a limit of 10 connectors. API access and CSV exports stop once the Free plan starts.

Frequently asked questions
Can I generate API keys on the Free plan? No. API keys and CSV exports are available during the trial and on all Premium plans.
Does revoking an invitation free up a connector slot? Yes, straight away.
