You can sign up for The Swarm in about two minutes. Every new team gets a 14-day free trial with up to 1,000 connectors and 1,000 API credits, and no credit card is needed.
What you get
The Swarm has two products. Your team can use one or both, and both are part of the same trial.
My network maps who your team knows, so you can find warm intros. You search people, companies and lists in the web app.
API gives developers and AI tools an API key, a team ID and credits. MCP, which lets you use The Swarm inside Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants, is part of the API product.
Sign up
Go to app.theswarm.com and select Continue with Google, or enter your work email.
If you used email, enter the 6-digit code we send you.
We check whether you were invited or whether your company already has a team. If so, see How do I join my company's existing team?
Enter your first and last name if we don't have them yet.
Pick your first product: Start Mapping My Network or Skip To The API. You can turn on the other one later.
If you start with My network
Paste your LinkedIn profile URL (it looks like linkedin.com/in/your-name) and select Find My Profile.
Check your profile and current company, then select Yes, Continue. If your company is wrong, select I Work Somewhere Else and paste your company's LinkedIn page.
Name your team if we ask.
We create your team, find your colleagues and map your company's network. You land on your Overview.
No company page, for example if you freelance? Select the × next to the company to continue without one. We map only your own network until an Owner or Admin adds the company later in team settings.
If you start with the API
Select Skip To The API. We create your workspace, generate your API key and start your trial. On the API page, select Reveal API Key to copy it. You don't need a LinkedIn profile for this path.
Your Overview and next steps
Your Overview shows a short list of next steps. Each one adds more people to your team's network:
Sync your LinkedIn connections with The Swarm Chrome extension.
Connect Google Contacts & Calendar. We refresh them every week, and sharing your calendar is optional.
Ask your connectors to share their networks with an invite link (Owners and Admins).
Owners and Admins also see your connector count against your plan limit.
Turn on the other product later
API: in the sidebar under AI Tools, select Set up the API, then Generate API key. Only Owners and Admins can see the API page.
My network: in the sidebar, select Set up your network, paste your LinkedIn profile URL and confirm. Any user can do this for themselves.
Turning on the second product doesn't restart or extend your trial.
Common questions
I don't have a LinkedIn profile. My network needs one because it maps who you know. Start with the API instead.

Does the trial turn into a paid plan automatically? No. After 14 days your team moves to a read-only state until you pick a plan. See Plans, billing, connector limits and credits.
