How contacts are matched
The Swarm matches a HubSpot contact using one of these, in any order:
LinkedIn URL (HubSpot's built-in
hs_linkedin_urlfield)Email address
First name, last name and company name together
When a card shows no data
"Not enough info to search The Swarm". The contact has none of the details above. Add a LinkedIn URL, an email, or a full name and company, then refresh the record.
"We couldn't find a match in The Swarm". We searched our 500M+ profiles but this person isn't in them, or their details are out of date.
"No relationships found". The person is in The Swarm, but nobody in your team's network is connected to them. Grow your network by adding connectors, syncing LinkedIn connections and connecting Google Contacts & Calendar. See Add connectors.
"Something went wrong — please try again". Usually a temporary connection issue. Try again later, and contact support if it keeps happening.
Common questions
Does the app change my HubSpot data? No. It only reads contacts and companies to match them. It never creates, changes or deletes HubSpot records.
Is the app free? The app has no separate price. You need a Swarm team on a trial or a plan. See Plans, billing, connector limits and API credits.
How do I reinstall or re-authorise it? In The Swarm, go to Settings → Integrations, remove the HubSpot app and install it again. Then add the app cards to your views again.
What happens if I uninstall it? The cards stop showing relationship data. Your Swarm team and network aren't affected, and you can reinstall at any time.
Is this the same as The Swarm MCP for HubSpot? No. This app shows relationship cards on HubSpot records. MCP is a separate product for AI assistants.
