Chrome Extension Troubleshooting Guide

If you're experiencing issues with our extension, please follow the troubleshooting steps below to identify and resolve the problem.

  1. Do you have multiple windows or tabs opened?

    • Solution: Close all unnecessary windows or tabs in your Chrome browser. Having multiple instances of the extension running simultaneously can cause conflicts and unexpected behavior.

  2. Did you open the extension?

    • Solution: Make sure you click on the extension after installation. We recommend pinning the extension. Ensure that you're logged into LinkedIn and make sure to keep The Swarm open in the other tab.

  3. Do you have a slow internet connection or are using a VPN?

    • Solution: Check your internet connection to ensure it is stable. If you are using a VPN, disable it temporarily.

  4. Is fetching connections taking more than a few hours?

    • Solution: Fetching connections should take between minutes and hours minutes. If it doesn't work, please check the points above and try removing and reinstalling the extension.

  5. Are other Chrome extensions causing incompatibility?

    • Solution: Disable other Chrome extensions. Start with the ones that are related to LinkedIn, if any. Close and re-open your browser, remove, and reinstall The Swarm extension to see if the issue persists.

  6. Are some of your connections missing?

    • Solution: It might take a few hours for all connections to come in, please check again the following business day.
