Installing The Swarm App in HubSpot

With just a few quick steps, The Swarm app brings relationship intelligence directly into your HubSpot CRM.

Step 1: Install the App

  • New to The Swarm?

    Go to the HubSpot Marketplace, open The Swarm app page (link to be provided), and click Install app in the top-right corner.

  • Already using The Swarm?

    Go to Team Settings → Integrations inside The Swarm and click Install.

  1. Select the HubSpot account your company uses most.

  2. Grant The Swarm access to your Contacts and Companies data.

After confirming, you’ll be redirected to The Swarm webapp.


Step 2: Sign In or Create a Swarm Account

  • Existing users → Log in with your Swarm account.

  • New users → Sign up to create a free team account (you can use Google SSO or email with a one-time password).


Step 3: For New Users — Onboarding Setup

If you’re new to The Swarm, you’ll go through a short onboarding flow to set up your team and start mapping your network:

  1. Enter your name (first and last).

  2. Add LinkedIn connections

    • Install the Swarm Chrome Extension (free) to import and sync your LinkedIn connections. Learn more about our Extension here.

    • You’ll be redirected to the Chrome Web Store → click Add extension → confirm installation.

    • Once installed, LinkedIn will open automatically to begin the import.

    • Make sure you’re logged into LinkedIn in the same browser.

    • Return to The Swarm tab to confirm the connection.

    • The import will run in the background.

    💡 We recommend installing the Chrome Extension to unlock work history data, company network mapping, and warm intro paths.

  3. Confirm overlaps – You’ll be asked to approve our Work and Education Overlaps search. This expands your network beyond direct LinkedIn connections.

  4. Confirm your current company – We’ll use this to map your team network. You can change it using a LinkedIn company URL or skip if needed.

  5. Enable AI Network Mapping – Automatically find colleagues and map their professional networks. 👉 Learn more here.

  6. Name your team

  7. Answer two quick questions about your use case.

  8. Your 14-day free trial will start automatically.


Step 4: For Existing Users

If you already have a Swarm account:

  • Log in with your existing email.

  • You’ll land on the Integrations page: Team Settings → Integrations.

  • ⚠️ You must be an Owner or Admin of your Swarm team to connect HubSpot.


Step 5: Connect to HubSpot

Whether you’re new or existing:

  1. Go to the Integrations tab in Swarm Settings.

  2. Confirm the HubSpot account you want to connect.

  3. If you manage multiple teams in The Swarm, select the correct one.

  4. Click Connect to HubSpot.

Your HubSpot instance will now be linked to your Swarm team. 🎉

Now, make sure you configure the app cards in your HubSpot CRM.
