In some cases, The Swarm app may not be able to display relationship data in the HubSpot Extension cards. Below are the most common situations and how to resolve them.

1. Not Enough Info to Search The Swarm

We can’t search The Swarm database without certain key details from the HubSpot record. Make sure the contact or company includes at least one of the following:

  • LinkedIn URL

  • Email address

  • First name, last name, and company name together

Not enough info to search The Swarm

To match a contact, make sure the HubSpot record includes at least one of the following:

  • LinkedIn URL

  • Email address

  • First name, last name, and company name together

Update the contact and try again.

Note: The Swarm uses HubSpot’s native LinkedIn URL field hs_linkedin_url, which is included by default in HubSpot.

2. No Match Found in The Swarm

We had enough details to search, but this contact isn’t in our records.

While The Swarm includes over 580M profiles and 100M companies, some contacts may still be missing or have outdated information.

Message shown in HubSpot:

We couldn’t find a match in The Swarm
We searched our 580M+ profiles, but couldn’t find a match for this contact.

3. No Relationships Found

The contact exists in The Swarm but your team has no known relationship to them.

To see relationship data, expand your network by:

  • Importing LinkedIn connections via the Chrome Extension

  • Adding Google Contacts and Calendar

  • Connecting other sources in The Swarm Connectors

  • Inviting active connectors from your team

Message shown in HubSpot:

No relationships found
We couldn’t find any connections for this contact. Grow your network in The Swarm by adding LinkedIn, Google, and other connectors to see more relationship data here. Learn more how to grow your network.

4. Generic Error

Sometimes something goes wrong with the integration — for example, a temporary connection issue or a data exchange error.

This is usually resolved by trying again later.
