The Swarm app for HubSpot shows your team's relationships with a contact directly on the contact's record in HubSpot. It's a standard app from the HubSpot Marketplace. You need a Swarm team and HubSpot Super Admin permissions to install it.
Before you start
HubSpot: you must be a Super Admin, or ask one to install the app for you.
The Swarm: you must be an Owner or Admin of your Swarm team. No team yet? Sign up and start a free 14-day trial.
Step 1: Install the app
From HubSpot: open The Swarm in the HubSpot Marketplace and select Install.
From The Swarm: go to Settings → Integrations and select Install next to HubSpot.
Choose the HubSpot account your company uses and allow access to Contacts and Companies. The Swarm only reads this data to match contacts; it never changes your HubSpot records.
Step 2: Connect your Swarm team
Sign in to The Swarm if asked. You land on Settings → Integrations.
Confirm the HubSpot account. If you belong to more than one Swarm team, pick the right one.
Select Connect to HubSpot.
Step 3: Add the app cards to your contact view
The app has two cards: a main card with the full relationship breakdown, and a shorter sidebar card.
In HubSpot, open Settings → Connected Apps → The Swarm and go to App cards. You can also get there from The Swarm with Open HubSpot settings on the Integrations page.
Select Manage locations for the card you want.
Pick the view to add it to, such as your default contact view, and save. The card is added at the bottom of the column.
To place it somewhere else, select Customize, hover between cards until you see +, open the Card library, search for "The Swarm", select Add card, then Save and exit.
Relationship data now shows on every contact that matches someone in your team's network.
What the card shows
For a matched contact: how many relationships your team has with them, each connector's connection strength and source, the connector's name, email and LinkedIn URL, and a link to the profile in The Swarm.
If a card shows no data, see The Swarm app for HubSpot: FAQ and troubleshooting.
