1. Log in to LinkedIn

  • Open your web browser and go to LinkedIn. Enter your login credentials to access your account.

2. Go to Settings & Privacy

  • Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the LinkedIn homepage.

  • From the dropdown menu, select Settings & Privacy.

3. Access Your Data Privacy Settings

  • Navigate to the Data Privacy tab in the settings menu.

  • Scroll down and click on Get a copy of your data under the “How LinkedIn uses your data” section.

4. Select Data to Export

  • Choose the option to Download larger data archive including connections or specifically select Connections if that’s all you need.

  • You’ll see checkboxes for the type of data you want. Check Connections.

5. Request Data Export

  • After selecting the data, click Request archive.

  • LinkedIn will ask you to confirm your account password for security purposes. Enter your password and confirm.

6. Wait for the Download Link

  • LinkedIn will process your request and notify you via email when your data archive is ready. This usually takes a few minutes to a few hours.

7. Download the CSV File

  • Open the email from LinkedIn or return to the Get a copy of your data section in the LinkedIn settings.

  • Click on the provided link to download the .zip file. Save the file to your preferred location.

8. Open the CSV File

  • Unzip the file and save it to CSV format. Then it can be opened using spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any text editor.
