Troubleshooting LinkedIn Connection Imports with The Swarm Chrome Extension

If you’re experiencing issues importing your LinkedIn connections using The Swarm Chrome Extension, follow the steps below to resolve the problem.

🔄 Step 1: Try a Manual Sync

  1. Go to LinkedIn and open The Swarm Chrome Extension.

  2. Click on the Settings tab inside the extension.

  3. Press the “RESYNC” button.

  4. Make sure app.theswarm.com is open in another browser tab when clicking “RESYNC”.

Syncing may take a few moments.

Please allow some time for your connections to load.


⚠️ Step 2: If “RESYNC” Doesn’t Work

  • Ensure that both LinkedIn and app.theswarm.com are open in your browser.

  • If the button still doesn’t trigger a sync, proceed to reinstall the extension.


🔁 Step 3: Reinstall the Extension

  1. Remove The Swarm extension from your browser.

  2. Reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store.

  3. Log back in to the extension on LinkedIn.

  4. Open both LinkedIn and app.theswarm.com in your browser.

  5. The sync process should begin automatically.
