Open "Add Members" modal, select the user role you want to invite and click on the "Preview" button to add a note up to 500 characters.

Customizing your invitation can help orient new members: Ask them to add their connections and to suggest a few people to a specific list.

You can also ask them to focus on uploading their networks for now, and that you'll be in touch with intro requests in the near future.
